ABOUT US

What is GFRP Rebar?

GFRP stands for Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer, which is a type of construction material made by combining glass fibers and chemicals to create a strong and durable material resistant to corrosion. This makes it an ideal alternative to traditional steel rebar in construction projects. GFRP rebar is lightweight and easy to handle, helping to reduce the overall weight of structures and simplify the construction process. Additionally, it is produced at lower temperatures compared to steel, which can help mitigate global warming issues. As a result, GFRP materials are seen as a promising replacement for steel in the future.

GFRP Is The Future Of Eco-Friendly Construction Materials.

The production of GFRP materials uses temperatures up to 5 times lower than steel, resulting in significantly lower carbon dioxide emissions compared to steel production. Additionally, GFRP is three times lighter than steel, allowing for more efficient transportation with fewer trips. With future carbon policies, GFRP offers greater carbon savings compared to steel, making it a leading choice for environmentally friendly materials in the near future.

Discover the Key Differences Between GFRP and Steel Rebar

Steel Rebar Alternative with Superior Bond Strength Our rebar provides three times the bonding strength with concrete compared to steel. GFRP serves as an excellent steel replacement, as it avoids corrosion issues and enhances the longevity of reinforced concrete structures.

1/4 the Weight of Steel

Carry four times the amount of product on your truck and save exponentially on transportation costs.

3-4 Times Stronger Than Steel

Compared to steel of the same size, TFR’s GFRP with TIS certification has 3-4 times higher tensile strength, allowing users to handle greater loads.

Corrosion-Resistant + Non-Conductive

GFRP does not corrode or rust, making it ideal for use in hot and humid climates like Thailand. Beyond general applications, GFRP is also non-conductive to heat and electrical currents.

Based on TFR testing, GFRP demonstrates tensile strength 3-4 timesgreater than steel. Additionally, GFRP has achievedthe best test results in Thailand across various tests.
